Worker and coal Tit (Taf Fechan)

This sculpture was created for the sole purpose of capturing a moment, in response to Innocence by Giovanni Battista Lombardi, displayed at Cyfarthfa Museum. It offers a representation of Merthyr Tydfil’s industrial past, and expresses endurance through the weight of the worker’s pose and his quiet interaction with the coal tit. The photograph doesn’t aim to explain history – just to reflect on it.
